We used this Dante AVIO's adapters to convert digital non-dante mixer (Soundcraft UI24R) into party DANTE-enabled device (practically "stagebox"; to be able to get master & monitor sound over long distances and on the other hand 4 channels get back to mixer = 2x INPUT, 2x OUTPUT).
This is absolutely starter for anyone who considering to apply DANTE into their workflow. We use it to leave our mixer as stagebox on stage and get important sounds from/to mixer to video mixer for live streaming purposes. :)
The device is very expensive for its value and build quality.
Plastic construction,
Too stiff cables, with no easy option to change them when they die.
Very cheap XLR connectors.
No Ethercon lockable connector for the LAN cable, just ordinary RJ45.
I've expected much more quality from Audinate.
Very handy in a pinch however, the output does have an annoyingly loud white noise floor. For running a floor speaker or similar, however, it works just fine. Easy to configure and to use.
great bit of kit, simple to use and effective. Not the most solid construction, the body is plastic rather than metal, but I haven't had any issues with them.
We use the adapter in a house of worship to our maximum satisfaction. We have extended ethernet cabling and now we can streamline audio to many rooms flexibly. Easy and quick configuration
I'm using this for monitoring and mixing live recordings. The cheapest way I could find of getting an analog signal out of a Dante system without software workarounds but the output level is pretty low and the noise floor is pretty high. I'll be looking for an alternative as I keep thinking there's an issue with one of the channels.
I've been using this to transport my computer audio to mixing desks and drive active speakers. no problems so far.
Would have preferred Neutrik connectors.
