Ive have had the Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250 Ohm for around 1,5 years. i use them daily as i work alot from my apartment late at night, and i study electronic music production/creation on a daily basis.
i use the headphones mostly for monitoring while i am producing, but i have also been using them for recording sessions (Vocals and Acoustic Piano's)
- Sound
The Beyerdynamics sound is very clear and smooth, it's not harsh in the ears unless you are transmitting something harsh through them on purpose, soft but revealing.
As i produce electronic music (Think James Blake, Thom Yorke, Clarke) the music i sit with is very often heavy on the low end. The bass is very smooth but a bit too "Quiet/Low" in my opinion, i do my mixing on a pair of Genelec 8050 with a Genelec bass unit, i often find the bass too be too loud if i recorded with the Beyerdynamics. so for mixing you have to "know" the headphones in order to be precise.
- Comfort
I can have sessions 8 hours long without noticing that i am wearing them. most comfortable headphones i have ever worn.
+
Good price / Clear Sound / VERY Comfortable

A good pair of headphones for the tight budget.
