Harley Benton MV-4P Burgundy Mist

Rapporto prezzo qualità imbattibile. Il colore dal vivo si presenta leggermente più chiaro rispetto alle foto. Il suono è quello di un Precision senza alibi. Ho cambiato le corde con delle Thomastik flat e ho ottenuto quello che volevo. Un grarnde suono.
Il capotasto da 38 mm è la comodità assoluta per chi come me ha mani non grandi. Il basso pesa 3,7 kg, quindi neanche pesante rispetto al Jazz della serie 62 di Harley Benton che pesa 4,3 kg.
L'unica modifica che apporterò sarà quello di rischermare il pickup e l'elettronica, più per eccesso di zelo che per necessità.

I'm a new bass player & I have been in lust with burgundy mist basses since the gotohs arrived last year. Such is my infatuation I would have bought any of them including the 5 string which I haven't a hope in hell of playing. My 4 string beauty arrived this morning and she is sweet!
Well setup out of the box, no pokey fret ends and she purrs and growls like I like it. Tuners are functional but not smooth like the originals, silly tug bar remains and I'd prefer 42-43 mm nut width on a P bass (not 38), but what's a few millimetres between friends.
I'm over the moon with it and if Mr Thomann had to recall them because they were accidentally irradiated with plutonium, I would keep mine till my last finger shrivelled up and fell off!
P.S. Get someone to do a proper online review on these.

Quando saiu a versão gotoh destes baixos só não adquiri um porque era a versão PJ e eu preferia uma versão apenas com um pickup. Quando regressou este modelo nesta nova edição não pude deixar de comprar.
E a verdade é que fiquei novamente surpreendido com a qualidade que este instrumento oferece pelo custo que tem. O braço é super confortável e tem um perfil tipo jazz bass. Os trastes vieram bem nivelados e a escala é bastante bonita com os block inlays e o binding. Os pontos luminescentes laterais são um acrescento muito útil para palcos que são mais escuros. O acabamento é muito bom, sem quaisquer imperfeições. O pickup soa bem, a típico precision bass, mas não é extraordinário. A ponte é simples mas funcional. Os potenciómetros e os afinadores são talvez as partes mais fracas do baixo mas fazem o seu papel.
No geral é um excelente baixo, com qualidade bastante acima do preço e com bom som e tocabilidade.
