The Montreux Jazz Festival—an icon among music festivals. Stars such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and Prince have cemented their legacies here with unforgettable performances. Notably, the iconic song “Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple was crafted on the shores of Lake Geneva during the Montreux Jazz Festival.

For any musician, gracing the stage of this unparalleled music festival would be an absolute honour. And now, that dream could become a reality! Brace yourself: To celebrate the 70th anniversary of THOMANN, we are offering a chance to win a performance slot at this legendary music event in collaboration with our partners Shure and Montreux Jazz Festival. The festival runs from July 5 to July 20, 2024.

In this Contest, we invite talented artists and bands to apply now for a chance to win an unforgettable performance on July 18 at 10:30 PM CET at at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival.
The prize package includes not only a slot at the festival but also top-notch equipment from Shure and coverage for travel and accommodation, offering you a spot at one of the globe’s most spectacular music events.

Our Top 3 will receive the following prizes:

🥇 1st Place: Shure Equipment* worth 7000€ PLUS 3000€ artists fee
🥈 2nd Place: Shure Equipment* worth 5000€
🥉 3rd Place: Shure Equipment* worth 3000€

Process & Application

Register (with your band) from May 6 to May 20, 2024. After registration, our community will vote here on the blog to determine the top three artists from the top 10 contenders. A jury will then decide which act will perform at the Montreux Festival. The winner will be announced both here on the blog and across our social media platforms on June 21, 2024.
