The world-famous brand, Fender, really accelerated last year. A number of new guitars, basses, amps and sophisticated accessories were presented in 2021. It is not at all easy to keep turning innovative or traditional adjustments with such a comprehensive range. And yet Fender has once again proven its own skills with flying colors. Here is a digest of Fender news from 2021. Get ready! 🤘

January: Fender Mustang Micro Headphone Amp

The headphone preamplifier simulates 12 amp models from the Mustang GTX series. It also offers you 12 different effects and an EQ. The USB-C socket routes the sound to a computer when recording, charges the battery and updates the firmware if necessary. And via Bluetooth 5.0 you can transfer songs to the preamp while practicing and jamming.

March: Squier Affinity Series

For the Squier Affinity series, Fender relied on proven models such as the Tele, Strat or Starcaster in 2021, but gave them fresh colors… and – watch out – with Fender Custom Shop paint! It got pretty experimental, especially with the basses. After all, in addition to the Jazz and Precision, there is now also a Jaguar Bass as an H model in the program.

March: Fender AM Acoustasonic Jazzmaster

With the Jazzmaster, Fender has ushered in a new phase in the innovative acoustic guitar series. An instrument that has the potential to become a classic with its well-thought-out concept. The Acoustasonic is a hybrid guitar in the shape of a vintage guitar. The acoustic engine pickup in conjunction with the solid mahogany body ensures the extraordinary sound. Acoustic or electric? Why not both?! So far, the guitar is available in three different color combinations.

May: Fender Noventa Series

The new Mexican Noventa guitar series, presented in 2021, is based on classic models, the Stratocaster, Telecaster and the Jazzmaster. Only one of the special features is that the guitars are equipped with in-house MP-90 pickups. Due to the different colors and equipment from minimalist to versatile, there is something for everyone.

June: Dhani Harrison Ukulele

Dhani Harrison, multi-instrumentalist, label master mind and son of Beatle George Harrison, has made a signature model by Fender. The tenor ukulele with a solid Ovangkol top has been pimped out with a stylish finish. Thanks to the integrated Fender-Designed preamp, the 3/4 ukule is ideal for both live and studio use.  Available in Saphire Blue and Turquoise with custom inlays and engravings on the back.

July: Fender J. Mascis Telecaster

Joseph Donald Mascis is someone who doesn’t allow himself to be impressed by pop culture trends. For that he impresses all the more. And so does his signature Telecaster, which was presented in 2021. The Dinosaur Jr. model has an alder body and a screwed maple neck. It is complete with 21 jumbo frets. And the finish in the Bottle Rocket Blue Flake really looks good. Throwback to the sixties!

July: Fender Tone Master Super Reverb

The modeling amps from the renowned amp manufacturer are also getting better and better. For example, the models of the Tone Master series, replicas of the legends! There is now the Tone Master Twin Reverb, Super Reverb and Deluxe Reverb; powerful 2-channel speakers with 100 or 200 watts of power, Jensen or Celestion speakers and IR cabinet simulations. Pure fender sound with state-of-the-art modeling technology.

July: Fender Squier Paranormal: new model

The Fender Squier Paranormal has become the standard series in the recent past. The affordable series from Fender introduced guitars that have never really existed before. In addition, a number of new colors were added to the range in 2021. Popular models were able to convince with well thought-out finishes, and continue to do so. And always with a remarkable quality recognized by guitarists.

July: Fender Cory Wong Stratocaster

Cory Wong has had an impressive career, with Vulfpeck since 2016, and also great solo albums. Reason enough for Fender to honor the exceptional musician between jazz and funk with his own signature model: the Fender Cory Wong Stratocaster. The made-in-USA treasure is equipped with special Seymour Duncan Cory Wong Clean Machine single coils and an equally unconventional push / pull function. Let’s have fun!

September: Fender Player Plus Series

Fender added new Strat, Tele, Jazz Bass, and Precision Bass models from the Player Plus series to its range in 2021. The colorful series with noiseless pickups! The fan community has long awaited the instruments with bright colors and a new range of the brand’s own, hum-free noiseless pickups. And you won’t be disappointed, the instruments complement the Player Series that has existed since 2018.

October: Kurt Cobain Jag-Stang

Also presented in a new version was the Jag-Stang, the mix of Jaguar and Mustang, designed by the former Nirvana front man. The last of these guitars was discontinued in 2005. Now it’s back again. Equipped with vintage style and custom pickups, the Mexican cult guitar provides the typical sound. It is available in Sonic Blue and Fiesta Red and also as a lefty model. A tribute to the self-proclaimed guitar antihero!

November: Acoustasonic Player Series

And Fender has recently implemented the concept of the hybrid guitar with the Telecaster. The Acoustasonic Player Tele is an electric and acoustic guitar in one. Ideal for those who need both versions on stage or in the rehearsal room and don’t want to be stressful when switching from one instrument to the other. Thanks to the reduction to three switch positions, it is even faster and more intuitive to use.
