1. Beyoncé & Jay-Z – get married, become megastars together
Beyoncé and Jay-Z are one of the absolute dream couples and are also the highest earning couple in Hollywood. They met in 1999, but even after the release of the song “Crazy in Love” they still tell the public that they are just friends. It wasn’t until 2014 that Beyoncé packed the statement in “Resentment” that their relationship began in 2002.
Beyoncé has now won 22 Grammy Awards. Jay-Z is no less successful as a rapper and record producer. Also, and especially, with their collab songs like “Crazy in Love” and “Déjà Vu” they landed mega hits. In 2018 they released the joint album Everything is Love. Appropriate for Valentine’s Day.

A love story that is full of contrasts is the one between Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz. She is the tender and emotional one with the mega voice, he is known for his loud-mouthed character. Rolling Stone lists the legendary Whitney Houston as the best singer of her time and with 411 awards as the most awarded artist of all time. With hits like “My Prerogative”, “Hummin’ Around” and “Good Enough”, Bobby Brown is one of the most successful American R&B singers. The two were married for 14 years. For years they led an excessive lifestyle including drugs and alcohol.
Even after the divorce in 2007, Whitney couldn’t get away from drugs. She passed away in 2012 at the age of 48. Three years later, their daughter Bobbi Kristina died under similar circumstances. Five years later, Bobby Brown Jr., son of Bobby Brown from his relationship with Kim Ward, died. All of these tragic deaths involved drugs.

4. Mick Jagger & Marianne Faithful – sympathy for the devil included
In 1964, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote the song “As Tears Go By” for the then immaculate Marianne Faithful, who came from an aristocratic family. A short time later she got together with Mick. The period that followed must have been like an intense culture shock for her. Drug use was commonplace in revolutionary London in the 1960s. 5. Kurt Cobain & Courtney Love – a tragic love story
Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love met in 1990 on the underground scene in Portland, Oregon. Two years later, the two celebrated their wedding in Hawaii. And in the same year they became the happy parents of their daughter Frances Bean. Unfortunately, the marriage was not under a lucky star. Kurt and Courtney only got to experience two wedding anniversaries together. For years, Cobain suffered from stomach problems, the cause of which could not be determined. To relieve the pain, he resorted to drugs, injecting heroin and becoming addicted. Even after the 6th therapy, he couldn’t quit the drugs. Shortly thereafter, he was found dead in his garage. He had a heroin overdose in his blood; He allegedly committed suicide by a self-inflicted bullet wound to the head. Since then, Courtney Love manages her late husband’s fortune.

6. Rihanna & A$AP Rocky – married soon?
A romantic couple who belong right in this era are the gorgeous Rihanna, a megastar and Grammy award winner, rapper, producer and actor A$AP Rocky. The two have only been in a relationship since 2020, but apparently it really sparked. At the end of January, the two publicly announced that they were expecting a baby. The marriage of Ike and Tina Turner was not at all loving. 8. John Lennon & Yoko Ono – a revolutionary musical romance
A dazzling, and at the same time mysterious, star couple are John Lennon and the Japanese artist Yoko Ono. For almost 15 years they amazed the world with their extraordinary aura, but also polarized astonishment. In 1966 they met at a Yoko Ono exhibition in London. In 1969 they married in Gibraltar. After Yoko gave birth to their son Sean Taro Ono Lennon, the two withdrew from the public eye, a phase that would last a total of five years. After five other albums together, they released the joint album “Double Fantasy” in 1980. Three weeks after publication, John Lennon was murdered outside his New York apartment.

9. Paul & Linda McCartney – no one should eat anything with a face
Linda McCartney was the first wife of Beatle Paul McCartney. Actually, as a photographer, she was well connected in the scene, knew the Rolling Stones as well as the Animals and numerous others. She also crossed paths with the Beatles as a musician quite early on. Linda contributed backing vocals to “Let It Be” in 1970. After that, she was involved in several of Paul’s solo albums, including the founding of the Wings, which Paul continued with after the Beatles. 10. Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash – country music’s legendary love
Johnny Cash’s most famous song was penned by his wife June Carter Cash: “Ring of Fire”. It’s about Johnny’s addiction to pills and alcohol and the difficult times of their secret love until then. She managed to get him to appear sober for the first time in ten years. It was a strong marriage, but it started quite late. Both had been married before, June even twice. The affair of the two began during a joint tour in 1961. It was only seven years later that June said “Yes” to Johnny’s marriage proposal, which he made to her on stage in front of an audience. It was his 31st proposal. They were married for 35 years until June’s death in 2003.
