Slim high density connector, but more involved assembly
This is an excellent, robust 1/4? unbalanced connector for general audio use. Highly recommended for use in all situations except in high-current, speaker cables.
I use these both for general instrument cables, and for unbalanced patch cables.
Neutrik has been continually improving their right-angle 1/4? plugs; reducing the overall diameter of the body since the chunky plugs with the two screws (anyone else remember those?). These are the first version from Neutrik really offer a serious, lowe-cost alternative to the Switchcraft right-angle jacks in that they can be plugged into high density jackfields without problem.
Assembly is via solder tab for the shield, and solder cup for the tip. It?s a little more involved soldering/assembling process than with Switchcraft or similar jacks, but not at all difficult for anyone with more than modest soldering skills.

You can't get wrong with Neutrik
This Neutrik plug is super convenient! If you don't want to think about your connectors not working, this is the right choice. The design is so simple, yet effective, craftsmanship on such a high level, and the materials used to make this Neutrik plug are so well, and that's what is making it such a TANK of a plug. It is also extremely easy to solder it to a cable and it's made that you can re-solder it many times, but that's not going to be the case, because if you solder it well, it lasts forever! Pricing is also excellent. Really something I would recommend.

Industry standard
Fantastic plugs, very rugged and durable. Very easy soldering connections to make, even for myself someone with little soldering skill. Very happy with the quality, will not waver from them in the future. The price may be a little higher than others but in the long term i really believe they are worth the investment.

Worth every penny!
Industry standard for good reason. Yes, they're bulky for a pedal board, but in my view, the reliability is worth this sacrifice, especially when you regularly tinker with pedal order and layout like I do!

Neutrik NP2 RX-BAG
This plug is as good as it gets. The complete shell is made from diecast metal and comes in a black finish. This product series is also available in a nickel finish but costs a little more so usually go with the black type. The contact tip is very durable and has a smooth finish. I use these plugs for years now and never had a failure as happens often with the cheap ones where the tip happens to get stuck or breaks off. The strain relief keeps the cable jammed inside of the plug so it literally gets impossible to rip it out.
For soldering a steady hand is needed for space inside is limited.

Neutrik standard quality - simply fine!
Neutrik standard quality - you can t go wrong.
Good materials, durable connectors. If necessary, you can reuse them several times. I use Neutrik since many years and I m still satisfied.
The L model is very useful in many situations. The soldering of the cable is the same as that on a straight connector.
