A really good e-drum snare
I bought this pad for my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit, becasue i needed a good snare. It was working flawlessly just out of the box.
I was suprised about the responsivity of this mesh head. This is far of the most dynamic and responsive head i ever played (I tried many heads including Roland and Yamaha e-drums). Most of the mesh heads i tried feeld too loosy and muddy. This one really tight and playable.
For that price, this is the best oprion you can buy.

Poor manufacturing for a beginner's kit
There is an underlying flaw with the manufacturing of these pads, as the wiring is so thin it will break within a few weeks. I've had 2 replacements sent but it's gotten to the point I've waited more time for the replacements to arrive than actual playing it because I'm just worried that it is going to break. Customer service thinks that I'm hitting the pad too hard but I've found multiple other reviews saying the same. Definitely avoid buying this piece of kit unless these issues are fixed. Unacceptable.

These pads don't live very long
I had to replace the pad three months after I bought the MPS-850 kit. The hits stopped registering. What is more, few weeks after the replacement arrived, another one got faulty for the same reason. Get ready that if you use it as snare it wont last long after intensive use.
Thomann was great replacing the faulty one but I don't feel pad lasting 2-3 months is acceptable. But again, you get what you pay for.

Not much used yet - just preliminary review
I bought it to give a better snare drum experiance with my multipad "drumset" from Yamaha. I haven't used mesh head pad so much yet. I still noticed it isn't as silent as I expected, so I consider adding some damping material to the plastic "vessel" which is the chassis of the pad. The next question is if this combination can resolve fast drum figures, but that depends on the electronic unit, too, of course. I might come back when I tried more.

Perfect Drum
Used as a replacement for one of my toms in my MPS-850, it works perfectly, two tones and great feedback. I love the adjustable mesh pad makes it feel like a real drum when playing. Great product highly recommend!

Excellent
I replaced a snare from the Nitro kit with this one as it is bigger and less deep as my son was complaining. With this one it is all perfect.

Breaks easyly
The drum is awesome when it comes to dynamics and stuff. Great filling and respons. Feels like you play in a real drum. But the triggers if breaks easily if you play a little harder.

3-rd mesh head pad-inner wires sectioned within 1 year
Thomann sends a new mesh pad every time; the problem is that the wires are too thin
