Decent monitor phones for the price
I got these pretty much knowing they were entry level (that's me!) but wanted to limit my budget for now. I'm satisfied with the overall frequency response and balance of tone across my range of hearing, and they are only used as DAW monitors and for online meetings. I'd prefer a more defined top end response. If I'm just listening to music I prefer sound performances of any genre through decent speakers.
Headphones not flimsy; a closed back, a little hot and heavy; there's enough room for ear comfort--just about. The connection lead comes from the right hand side, and unplugs with a bayonet action. There's quite a lot of side extension for adjustment of how it sits, and I'm guessing it would fit if you're wearing a flat cap or beanie. On my head it feels that most weight sits in the centre of my scalp i.e. not evenly distributed for best comfort, but it stays put. It mayn't be the best headphone for one-ear use due to its bulky ear pads. There's no pad covers but pads and foam inserts are stretched over a groove, so I assume could be replaced (not sure).
As with all audio items you can spend a lot more for diminishing gains in quality - i.e. exponentially diminishing improvements imho. For closed-back work these are fine for the amount of time I'll need to wear them, and that would not stretch beyond 3 hours max. So they're good for the price I think.
