This was purchased as the basis for a custom project, but we've spent a while playing it unmodified. It's just that good, if you need a short-scale electric guitar.
What's it like? Exactly as described by Thomann.
The smaller scale will best suit the younger student or smaller adult hand, but if you can manage a big ukulele (baritone, eg) then you should have no difficulties.
The fit and finish is first class, decent materials too. I'm used to setting up my guitars after opening the box (used to do it professionally), but apart from tuning there was nothing that this needed. Harmonics were spot on. That is good at any price, and highly praiseworthy.
Problems? No.
I mildly dislike the feel of the machine head knobs, but that's just me being picky. The machine heads work smoothly and precisely.
The sound is exactly what one would expect from a pair of humbuckers, with a bit of a single-coil feel that still mellows out on demand. Works well with my minimum Marshall as well as the big rig. Not elaborate, but versatile enough for most work.
The short-scale neck would suit the smaller hand, naturally. But my big (arthritic) paws could still manage chords above the octave after a half hour of familiarisation.
Smaller or younger hands should fit well.
