I tried many cases before finally settling on this one. I preferred the Jakob Winter cases due to function and weight however everyone I was sent had a defect. This case protects well but it is exceptionally heavy. They removed some past features like velcro to hold the violin in and a normal latch buckle on the case. The missing velcro is not a big issues, but the new clasp is terrible. It never lines up and almost never actually latches. Luckily there are zippers to keep closed because you can not trust the clasp. Further the case opens just vertical meaning it must be on a perfectly flat service to not have the top fall closed. Also the fabric cover that is attached to the inside wants to fall in to the path of the zipper when you close it. I am still using it because it is protective and the issues I have are annoying but I can work around them. Still feel like it should be better quality from Gewa
