Great for slapping! Not so much for tuning down
I bought these with the intent of trying new strings, to know which fit me the best. I have been using them for a couple of months now, and I have started to notice it's strengths and weaknesses.
Pros:
* Great for slapping/popping with ease.
* Are very easy to play with, especially if you wanna play quickly.
Cons:
* Not suitable for tuning down. Even going just a half step down, they feel like spaghetti. Drop D works fine, but is still not recommended
*Has below average tuning stability.
In conclusion: If you do a lot of quick playing (a la Jaco Pastorius) or do a lot of slapping stuff in standard E tuning, these are great, and you should consider them. If you like to tune down your bass to alternative tunings (drop D, Eb standard), get standards or thicker instead, as these wont be worth your buck.

Merci Ernie Ball

The classic set
When I first got my stingray bass these were the strings that came with it. Tried different types of strings after that in the course of 3 years but always came back to this set. To me this set is to bass strings what stingray is to bass guitars. You can play pretty much everything with them.
A classic-well balanced gauging, right amount of flexibility across the neck, right amount of grip-resistance. Tone wise, they're very responsive. You can easily achieve a gnarling, aggressive or a much more mellow, round sound with them. Thus they can handle pretty much any playing style. They are a little bit on the bright side; if you want a darker sound and less brightness (for picking or reggae for instance) you can just dial it in on the eq and strings wont fight back in tone.
They do lose their brightness after a certain amount of playing but they last much longer than most of the other strings I tried and the "gnarling" never goes away. Highly recommended.

I am very pleased with these strings. They literally gave a funky punchy clear and loud tone to my instrument. Due to this change my budget priced harley benthon bass guitar ( PB-50 SB Vintage Series ) transformed into a powerful instrument

AMAZING STRINGS! REALLY!
I just put these on my Fender Amercian Pro- P-bass, and they made a HUGE difference! They felt really good to play on and the punch... omg the punch... it was extreamly punchy with 0 tone too! + the package contained a cool comic, and that's a little + for ordering! <3

There's a reason that you've already heard of Ernie Ball...
What can I add?...
Great strings for that good-all-round feel.
Fantastic sound. I love the sound of a freshly restrung bass and these didn't disappoint.
Great quality. As you'd expect from Ernie Ball.
Strings are subjective. Most players have already worked out what their favourite sounds is already, so if you like these, you're probably buying them anyway.
But, if you're looking to take a punt on something for the sake of a change, you can do much, much worse.
Great product backed by the excellent Thomann customer service.

Ernie Ball Bass Super Slinky
These are simply the best bass strings I've ever used. I have 3 bass guitars, an active schecter, a fender Jass and a precision 'copy' I made myself and I've used a variety of strings over the years and these stay in tune better than any of the others that I've used. The winding seems to be smaller, giving them more mass and so a better sound. The schecter, which doesn't get used very often has had the same strings on for a few years now, and mine have not tarnished at all.
When I started on bass I made the mistake of using cheap strings the main problem was that each string had a different volume as the weights and mass was not very well balanced. That's easy to sort on a guitar by adjusting the screws in the pickups, but much harder to do on a bass, but the slinky were a good matched weight and I don't get that problem. I think good strings are the cheapest way to improve your sound.
