More than an Echo
This really is a 'Swiss Army Knife' of pedals, as apart from providing the expected digital delays and recreations of classic analog and tape delays, it is capable of so much more. Chorus, Flanging, Psuedo Reverb, Doubling, Shimmers and pitch changes... really this is a very good box if you want something to cover virtually every processing need. Add a competent Looper to that list, with a reasonable loop time. Yes, you can have the effects running with the looper :) And... and then add to the equation that you can have two effects running at once, in series or parallel... and you can configure the stereo inputs and outputs, even giving an fx loop funcion if you are happy to sacrifice the stereo. Wide and spacious, tight and precise; editing is easy. Apart from having to look at the manual to understand the system settings, I just dived in there and started having fun. I'm late to this party, but pleased I came along.

Delay with endless possibilities
First of all, I've not used a lot of pedals until recently. I did not think it was necessary but as time passed I realized that it is good to be able to get a lot of different sounds for different occasions.
This pedal can do just that, it has several high quality delays and you can tweak them to your liking in so many ways! From subtle delays to big, spacious sounds, this pedal can do anything in between. I like the fact that you can use two delays simultaneously.
Pros: high quality build, high quality sound, more affordable than competitors, easy tweaking thanks to the display, very versatile.
Cons: some say it can sound sterile, but you can tweak the sound to your liking if you think so. The shimmer setting is good but not the best on the market in my opinion, hence the 4/5 in sound, the other delays sound great though.
I am really happy that I got this pedal, hopefully it will be used for many years to come.

To begin with it's a DIGITAL delay. Digital and Analog delays are used for different things. Do your research online before spending this amount of money.
PROS : you have many options and the options have options that have options so you can pretty much customize the hell out of it.Really simple to set up. Which means that you can manipulate your signal in interesting ways apart from your typical delay. It's a great tool if you are into soundscapes and creating ambience.
CONS : You need some time to set it up even though it's easy. Some parameters that you will encounter during customizing your sound might not be known to you.(you can always use the internet though).
Even though there is a LOOPING function on the pedal you will need a real looper. You can't save loops so if you want to change the type of delay that you use you have to forfeit the already recorded loop.

Best pedal I've ever owned
Desert island pedal right here . Its is fantastic. Especially now with the 2.0 firmware and pc editor . No more bending done to set up patches or make settings . Ignore any reviews which say is is cold and clinical , it is not. 95% of the presets out of the box need some work . Plenty of tutorials online. It can cover pretty much whatever delay needs most people require. Highly adjustable . You want bright clinical delays , no problem . You want warm lush repeats , no problem too . It can even give you chorus , tremolo and flanger effects . Build like a tank too and a great price for now . Snap it up before they jack the price up to 366 euros like the RV500 !

It`s the big BOSS - what else you expected?
I was looking for a midi controllable, compact multi FX unit for my pedalboard. I have Boss ES-8 and I also bought DD-500 and it has all I need for live situation via midi!
Case is strong, knobs feel real and durable, love the switches - no clicks, or cracks while pushing them, and the display helps me to overview my presets.
I adore the idea of having dual mode - I can send one delay through output L, and completely different delay type through output B. It gives me so much creative freedom on stage and rich arrangement on stage (you know, it`s the situation when you don`t want to sound thin with your guitar on stage, but rather full and spacey with total control at your feet). I also use it with expression pedal - just to give more spice in solo, when I need it.
I was thinking of cons - honestly, I wasn`t able to find one... except included free coffee at local gas station. Hey, Roland, here is something to think about!

All you need
I was in need of a digital delays that can hold presets and patches. After watching reviews in the web and reading reviews in various groups it boils down to this delay. This pedal is built like a tank. It sounds good and it has midi capabilities. Im already impressed with it's capability of setting so many parameters on the pedal, immagine what can you do if you dive into the software. You can literally dial any sound from this pedal, it has alot of modulated delays too. For it's price i definitely reccomend it.
Pros : Build like a tank, algos sounds good, it cuts through the mix, in depth setting capabilities, price, screen.
Cons : It's complexity? i dont know if you can count it as a con but if you want a simple delay this maybe is too much.

Does the jib
Great delay pedal, sounds great and you can learn to use it really fast. Midi works without any hassle as well. Only thing missing is "manual" mode. I've been using DD-20 so many years and got used to it.

Good Digital Delay
A very good Delay with limitless capabilities and great sound.
I would give 5 stars to all parts but the complexity of configuring the device held me back.
If one is not intimidated by the vast configuration settings of the unit, then I would recommend highly!

Boss DD-500 Digital Delay
When I was in the market for a delay, I wanted a pedal that could do almost everything. I had it down until the last two - The Boss DD-500 Digital Delay or Strymon Timeline. I opted for the Boss option after trying them both out. This pedal is FANTASTIC and ive only just begun to scratch the surface. You get a multitude of delays (analog, tape, reverse, patteren, dual etc) AND you are able to stack delays. This is one of those pedals that give you EVERTHING. Im almost positive that I will never buy another delay pedal in my life!
